Georges DE SLOOVERE (1873-1970) 'Children in a Forest, Bruges'

oil on canvas. 

Signed lower left. 

The painting is depicting the children of Georges De Sloovere in Rooygem, Sint Kruis - Bruges. The tree was named 'Fat Bertha'. In pale blue we can see his oldest daughter Odrada (1923) and in dark blue her sister Monica (1927-1937). 

The work has been exposed in an exposition 'Georges De Slooveren' in Bruges, 1957.
