An exceptional Ice-Pail made of silver with gold-plated interior, Peter Carter, London, 1807. Decorated with snakes and grape vines.

The complete piece was made in Londen, 1806 (lid) and 1807 (base). The item is marked PC for Peter Carter. There is an inscirption on the base: G. Purse Fecit 487 Strand, London. The insciription in the base: A memorial of friendship and gratitude from M. Rufsell to John Dingivall esq. 1807.
